About me

My background

My creative journey really began way back in my childhood. I attended Forest School where I learned the basic knotting and weaving techniques. From this point forward I was completely bitten by the weaving bug, and throughout my career, I have drawn on these skills and techniques to help me create my work and develop my artistic style.

I’m inspired by, and experiment with the colours, patterns and textures that nature provides. I find myself in my element when working with natural plant fibres, many of which are collected from my own garden. I’m a believer that you can create something very special out of very little.

My pieces have drawn attention from all over the world.

Quite unexpectedly, many of my pieces have drawn attention of people all over the world, appearing in interior and commercial settings around the globe.

I’ve received multiple commissions for my work as a practitioner and a ‘consultant’ leading to my work being featured in domestic and commercial locations, TV set design, and more recently for film work.

Our home and garden studio featured in 25 Beautiful homes Magazine in November 2018 and in 2023 I was delighted that my work has been selected to be featured in the publication of Country Living’s Modern Rustic Magazine ‘Objects of Desire’ featuring the work of British Crafts people.

I’m a believer that you can create something very special out of very little.
